Archizines Exhibition Opens at the Vitra Design Museum

The Vitra Design Museum Gallery will host from  June to  October 6, the ‘Archizines’ Exhibition featuring 90 independent architectural publications from around the world. The show that also includes video interviews of the magazine editors, designers and creators features the WAIzine (Part 1, and Part 2 available here).

The Archizines exhibition featuring the WAIzine along some of the finest independent architectural publications around the world is opening at the Perloff Gallery of the School of Architecture of UCLA.

The opening Panel Discussion will be held on April 12 at 6:30pm.

Panelists will include: Elias Redstone (curator Archizines), Susan Morgan (Art Papers on Design and Archirtecture), Thomas Lawson (dean School of Art at the California Institute of the Arts and editor East of Borneo) Johan Rowen (Project), John Southern (Urban Operations), Leonard Koren (Wet Magazine), Mimi Ziger (Loud Paper)

Archizines at UCLA

The Archizines exhibition will be showcased at the Perloff Gallery atUCLA Architecture and Urban Design. The exhibition, that includes the WAIzine ( read part 1 and part 2)  alongside 90 international architecture zines will be on display from April 12 to May 31, 2013.

Decafe (1302 Perloff Hall)
Moderated by Sylvia Lavin, UCLA architecture and urban design professor and director of critical studies, this discussion will bring together architecture, art and design publishers to explore the different approaches to subversive visual culture and how this relates to architectural criticism.
Panelists will include Elias Redstone, curator of “ARCHIZINES”; Susan Morgan, editor of the magazine Art Papers on Design and Architecture; Thomas Lawson, dean of the School of Art at the California Institute of the Arts and editor of the online art magazine East of Borneo; John Southern, founding principal of Urban Operations; Leonard Koren, editor of Wet magazine; and Mimi Zeiger, journalist and critic.

The Archizines world touring will open at Object Gallery in Sydney, Australia today April 4 from 6-8pm. The Exhibition curated by Elias Redstone will display the WAIzine ( read part 1 and part 2)  alongside  90 of the finest architectural zines around the globe.

The Archizines exhibition showcasing 90 independent architectural publications including the WAIzine (don’t forget the check the WAIzine 1 and WAIzine 2 on ISSUU) was shown at the Banvard Gallery of the Knowlton School of Architecture, in Columbus, Ohio (Feb. 1- Mar. 8). Archizines world tour would soon move to Sydney, and Los Angeles. Stay tuned to WAI for more info.

ArchiZines opens at the RMIT Design Hub in Melbourne

The Archizines exhibition was held at the  Irish Architecture Foundation from November 16 of 2012 until January 11. The Exhibition includes the WAIzine between 60 contemporary architectural publications.

WAIzine with Archizines in Bratislava

The World Tour of the Archizines Exhibition has just opened in the Faculty of Architecture of the Slovak Technical University in Slovakia. The exhibition that started the 5th of November will be on display until November 23.

Next stop of the Archizines show is Dublin.

The Archizines exhibition displaying now 80 contemporary architectural publications has opened its doors to the public in el Centro Gabriela Mistral in the Chilean Capital. Go and read the WAIzine and other independent magazines.

Remember that apart from the limited edition printed issues the WAIzine 1, and WAIzine 2 can be read on ISSUU.

Archizines goes to Osaka and Tokyo

The World Tour of the Archizines exhibition opens in Osaka at the design museum de sign de> the 6th of September and in Tokyo at the Tokyo Book Fair the 21st of September. Archizines features theWAIzine amongst 60 top independent architecture publications around the world.  The Exhibition will be on display in Osaka until September 17 and in Tokyo until September 23.
